Ferrari is one of the last auto makers to step into the green world of frugal fuel economy. Although the Ferrari 599 HY-KERS Concept was unveiled earlier this year at the Geneva show, it isn’t until now that the company has confirmed it will use such technology in a production car.

The next pinnacle Ferrari model, currently the Ferrari Enzo (or F60), will feature the same HY-KERS regenerative braking technology as the 599 Concept, reports say. According to AutoWeek, Luca Cordero di Montezemolo – head of Ferrari – has confirmed that the next ‘Enzo’ will feature hybrid technology, similar to that used on the 599 HY-KERS.
